Fine hole deburring/inner surface finishing
Small holes may appear clean upon visual inspection or when enlarged at low-magnification, but minute burrs may remain when observed under a microscope, causing quality issues for some applications.
Daiwa carries out fine hole finishing for electron microscope aperture plates on a daily basis, and we specialize in micro deburring. The same applies to the mirror finishing of the inner surface of holes, allowing us to produce an inner surface finish that improves surface roughness.

Daiwa’s fine hole deburring and inner surface finishing
Daiwa specializes in apertures for electron microscopes. Apertures have an extremely small hole for narrowing the electron beam, but the hole must be perfectly round, and not even the slightest burrs are permitted.
Daiwa has many years’ experience of deburring. An aperture has a wide range of holes with diameters approximately from φ0.005 mm to φ0.5 mm, but burrs are not permitted in any size of hole. In the past, it was only possible to perform finishing for holes of approximately φ0.02 mm, but now it is possible to perform beautiful finishing for holes as small as φ0.005 mm. Our specialty is pure metals such as Mo and Ta, but we also work with general materials such as SUS. However, we cannot handle non-metallic materials such as resin or ceramic.

Can you provide materials and blanks?

Can you attach a finished photo after deburring?

Can you handle as many as several thousand holes?

We do not specialize in complete deburring for multi-pore arrays. There may be cases where this is not possible.
Can you deburr deep holes?
開くIt is possible depending on the shape. However, we can only deburr deep holes as long as the inside of the hole can be tilted to check it.
